Carl-Christian von Morgen started working as a lawyer at the Berlin office of one of the “London Circle” law firms focusing on M&A, private equity, corporate and real estate law. Until the end of 2006 he worked for a renowned Berlin-based law firm advising national and international clients in the areas of labor law, corporate and business law.

Carl-Christian von Morgen, who also has achieved a master in philosophy, provides counsel and representation for companies, managing directors, workers’ councils, employees and athletes in all areas of labor law, including conclusion and performance of employment contracts and contracts for services, wrongful dismissal lawsuits and other disputes concerning the termination of employment relationships in labor courts and regional courts (Landgericht). He has also advised companies and workers’ councils on restructurings, plant closures, the creation of model employment contracts and disputes relating to workers constitution law.

His expertise in corporate law includes complex transactions through mergers, asset and share deals by way of transfer of properties, business units or shares, amendments to the articles of association and partnership agreements as well as the foundation and reorganization of companies. In relation to business law he has advised nationally- and internationally- active clients on purchase and supply agreements and the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of claims for damages and compensation.

Highlights included advising BGW Bundesverband der Gas- und Wasserwirtschaft e.V. on its merger with Verband der deutschen Energieversorger e-V., Verband der Netzbetreiber e.V. and Verband der Verbundunternehmen und regionalen Energieversorger in Deutschland to form Bundesverband der Deutschen Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft e.V. and the transfer of Bundesliga player Christopher Schorch from Hertha BSC to Real Madrid. Since 2010, Carl-Christian von Morgen advises Nordstream AG and other regional energy suppliers and producers on all matters of labor law.

Carl-Christian von Morgen is also experienced in real estate, competition, licensing and media law and has done substantive work in the field of energy law. 

Carl-Christian von Morgen has practiced the Japanese martial art of Aikido, Japanese sword combat and Kl since 1992 and reached the master level. Since 2000, he has been partner and since 2005 he is authorized representative of a medium-sized fashion company. From August 2007 until August 2011 he has been vice chairman and from August 2011 until August 2016 he has been chairman of the supervisory board of KoCoConnector AG.

Carl-Christian von Morgen is also acting as club judge (Verbandsrichter) of the Berlin Football Association (Berliner Fußball-Verband).
